While not exclusively a car museum, Beamish has wonderful transport exhibits including vintage buses and trams that actually run around the site. The garage and motor works are fascinating. The whole museum is an incredible step back in time. Allow a full day - there's so much to see.

A magical place that brings history to life. The working trams and buses are a highlight, and the period vehicles throughout the site add authenticity. Staff in costume are wonderful. The fish and chips from the 1950s town are delicious!
